OK this is my first real blog so I'm going to give it a really good topic.
For those of you who have been following the news there is a huge debate about offshore drilling.
Let me give some pros and cons about this.
Pros
-If we find oil, gas prices will likely drop.
-We won't have to rely on foreign countries for our supply of oil.
-We can stop the decline of our economy.
Cons
-We ruin the offshore habitat.
-We endanger different species of animal.
-We most likely pollute the water.
What's your stance?

pro bc there are other habitats for the animals to be safe in so the tree-huggers can go be happy over there. sorry to sound harsh, but if im gonna pay for 1/2 the price or more of my future car, im not gonna wanna worry bout 15$/gal gas prices as well...LOL but thats jus me... :DDD
We may think that the animals can find another home since the planet is covered in water, but some places are specific to their needs.
I say we drill alaska, all 21 of the people living there wouldn't mind, we coudl even ask them each individually
Ha Ha Ha. You know we could ask them to farm for it. Then they'd be rich.
HAHAHA you are right Josiah thats what we should do.
Ok here the answer to ur question yes I do
you do know that even though our water recycles itself, there is no way to un-pollute the earth.
LOL josiah! and brady we dont need to be worrying about it for too much longer bc the world is gettin worse and worse and i think the end times are coming! YAY! so i dont think we're gonna kill our environment or ourselves...yet.
ps, im happy that Jesus is coming, not the fact that the worlds ending lol and i could be wrong-the world could get much worse and its not our job to kno when Jesus is coming....so idk. :DDD
Wow Brady is an actor turned environment activist lol jk but really they should drill in Alaska then all the ppl in Alaska could have something other then the cold to talk about.
PS You know that I answered your question on this post right Brady ???
Yah if they enjoy talking about loud noises and dying animals. have you ever seen The Day After Tommorrow? Arnt you worried that will happen to us?
i never watched that movie, it came and went and slipped through the cracks of my "movie watching agenda"
the theme though i know, it could happen to us. i think "global warming" is more natural than 'environmentalists' realise. yes, we pollute too much, but the earth pollutes itself. volcano eruptions, forest fires, tornado's, and all sorts of other environmental factors all cause this earth to change over time. if we were to leave this earth alone, it would stay in balance easier, but it still would change. ice age anyone? not the movie but the actual time in history where things on this earth got colder. this world made it back from a global flood, i think it can survive us throwing smoke up in the air from factories.
all in all, it's not something that "concerns" me, it's something i am at peace with. I am not worried but i am trying to do my part. i'd rather this earth look nice for my kids than trashed. Ever read about david and solomon? david couldn't build the temple because God told him he had given that duty to his son, so instead of trashing the place and getting mad, he buckled down and prepared the materials for his son. We should try to prepare for our kids and our great great grandkids. i say us finding more gas to use is important, but soon we are going to find another fuel that will work better and will be replenishable, solar(to a useful degree), water, perhaps air fueled... whatever it ends up being, it is going to happen because we are in need of it. Gas is not limitless. i think humans are amazing at developing solutions to problems, and this is just one more problem!
ever think about how far we would be right now if there was no sin in the world? we would be so advanced it wouldn't even be funny. 1960 moon landing probably would have happened around 2000bc. a sinfree, selfless world worshiping God would be absolutely amazing! i'd love to spend a day in "sinfree" world. how about you guys?
a "sinfree" world would be awesome.
wow. cant argue with josiahs logic. lol well ok, i dont want to sound like a total "kill the earth" kind of person, but i really dont think we need to be worrying about global warming. its not really our fault. we may have contributed some, but most of it is from like trees n stuff. i think, if anything, the world is getting colder. our kids will be learning about the next ice age--what? it could happen! have u noticed theyve changed it from "global warming" to "climate change"? ya, smoooooth. so its just the earths normal climate change that grows hotter and cools off. we have practically nothing to do with it. now pollution, ya thats pretty much our fault.
but if u guys saw al gores movie--SHOOT URSELF IN THE HEAD! thats wat i wanted to do when we were forced to watch it in english last year. its sooo stupid! like he talks about global warming being our fault, then "proves" it with pictures of (say, a place in the winter with lots of snow, then the same place in the summer-when the snow is melted) and say that the first one is years before we interfered and the second one is "after".
another was a COMPUTER GENERATED video of a polar bear on an iceberg all happy, then as al gores voice narrates about how we are killing the earth, and the iceberg shrinks and the polar bear is unhappy and swims there. at that point all the cheerleaders are all like "awwww! poor polar bear!" an im just sittin there goin "ITS A FREAKIN FAKE PPL! WAKE UP!! DONT JUST BELIEVE THE FIRST THING U SEE!! examine it from ALL sides, then decide!"
plus gores "friends" arent even scientists, so where is he getting all this evidence???
there is, however, REAL evidence that has been ACTUALLY PROVEN that the earth has gotten slightly colder when the peak of technoledgy in the early 1900s. so, if our doings are harming the environment and melting the poles, why is the earth cooling down?? Gore didnt even state that part, he just used all this for people to be on his side-mearly a tool to help him gain political power, favor and support.
sorry to get off-topic, but that bugged me soooo much last year, and i would ramble on to heather about it, and (since it doesnt really concern her/doesnt really kno about it) she was all confused n stuff LOL
and that would be SUUPPPEEERR AWESOME if we could live w/o sin!!
and just a quick thought-if adam and eve didnt sin, and told their kids not to also and so on and so on, wouldnt someone else down the line eat the fruit bc of our sinful human nature? so no matter what we were doomed to live on this sinful earth (until Jesus comes)? or were like adam and eve so special (or not special) that they sinned first? like, they werent "chosen" by God to sin-it was their own doings-but y didnt like one of their kids eat the fruit? idk. i kno its also WWAAAYYY off subject-SORRY BRADY-ive just always wondered that.
Those post you guys did ( Rachael and Josiah ) are really long I could never do something like that but then I could if I was just talking.
lol thx? well actually, "its a gift...and a curse"--MONK (a TV show)
idk wats wrong wit me, but i like cant write any shorter than a large paragraph O_o its like impossible for me to say jus 3 words! lol so idk if its a good thing! i jus ramble, maybe my ramblings have a point...idk. i kno josiahs do, he always has thought and time put into his comments and blogs-it must take him forever! lol or hes just that good. :DDD which is probably more true.
and bj, u talk alot-on IM, cept sometimes ur a little slow haha and dont use the "im eating carrot cake" excuse! lol and yes, the chocolate milk was good :DDD
ozued!!!
Yes, we were all destined to sin, eventually someone would have. there is some possible evidence that Adam and Eve waiting for a while to sin, hundreds of years perhaps? Jesus was going to come to save us regardless, our ability to choose, not our "sin nature", caused the fall. We did not have a sin nature in the garden, we were perfect, but we could CHOOSE what we wanted to do. eventually, someone would have chosen poorly and disobeyed just like adam and eve did. our sin nature would have come from there.
my hypothetical situation comes from a thought of mine of, "what woudl it be like if..."
it never could happen, because God did not make us that way. he made us how we are today because he wanted people to love and worship him, he didn't need or want robots.
Jesus is the only one who can live as a human and be perfect. Each one of us would have eventually chosen that same thing if we were in Eve and Adam's position. Now we do not need to worry, life on earth is temporary, and there are problems here, but eventually we will get to heaven and live perfectly up there! i am So excited!!!
You have good points, but wouldn't the world be safer and nicer left in its own hands instead of ours?
And if you havn't see The Day After Tommorrow WATCH IT! It's a great movie. I'm not saying that anything that drastic will happen but we cant be too careful.
this world in it's own hands > in our hands, we slowly corrupt anything we touch. i quote what i wrote earlier... nothing better than quoting yourself right?
"if we were to leave this earth alone, it would stay in balance easier, but it still would change."
the problem is this world is out to hurt itself too. it would be much less but this world still is going to be destroyed because it is temporary.
I don't know how to solve alot of these problems but I think Bush is doing a good job. And yes Josiah nothing is better then quoting yourself.
ooooh so its about choice. ok i get it now. :D
i kno me too right? its like we get ta live forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and everand ever in heaven and then when he rebuilds the earth we get to live forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever there. What could be better than that? :DDD
lol ya bush rocks! i think ppl are too hard on him :( i wish romney was still running! hed be better than the upcoming canidates!
lol the quoting thing! u guys are funny :DDd
oops, i forgot to capitolize "He"
sorry God. heh heh.
Yes it is a known fact what you study you also change. Discovery is a violent, penetrative act. What you call discovery, I call the rape of the natural world.
ooooook. well technically we're like forced to learn junk like that. otherwise i wouldnt be "studing" the issue
No i'm talking about the ones who go out and "discover" these things. A good example is a palentologist. In digging for dinosaur bones they scar up the land and the plant life and throw trash on the ground thus ruining the ecosystem.
ooooo. ok.
*said sarcastically:* well then how else are we gonna find out that we evolved from dinosaurs?
(i obviously dont really believe that, but i jus took a biology class-KILL ME NOW!! LOL)
Haha rachaels secret life hmm I think I should tell her parents about this. Hmm I think I will........
There are a lot of things we can learn from science, evolution is not one of them.
bj O_o my secret life? im pretty sure my parents kno i took biology last semester.... secret? eh, no.
and i kno, the class was ok- i actually enjoyed learning about genes and animals-just not the whole evolution thing. but i think if i do major in a science (which is highly unlikely) i would go for earth science (geology) which is like rocks and stars n stuff. i really liked the class i took freshman year. :)
I like biology for the ecosystem stuff.
o thats cool. during the evolution stuff i pretty much put my hands over my ears and said "lalalalalalalalalalalala" LOL
i havnt taken biology yet!!! @8DDD
i will wen skool startz again thow...but yup evelushun iz STOOPID!!!!!!! (with an "oo") the dubble "o" makez it even stoopider!!! lawl!
SAUL!!!!!!! "^.^"
lol wow heather =PPP
